Believing or Doubting Heart

“A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Matthew 8:2 NIV

If you are WILLING.

This is showing the man has zero doubt in Jesus’ ability to heal him. Its simply a matter of His will to do so.

It’s not a small request either. We are talking leprosy here, a horrific incurable disease that caused people to be outcast in that society.

When you approach God in prayer do you go to him with a believing or doubting heart?

I’m sure this man called out for mercy and healing many times. Felt abandoned. Maybe angry. But he approaches the Lord with full belief that Lord is capable. He knelt and showed honor. And put his trust in the Lord to heal if it is what the Lord desired. Not sure in the same position that I would have such belief and trust.

Spend some time with God today to talk honestly to God about any doubts you have in your heart about Him and the kind of relationship you seek.
